Regional PSEAH Officer (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse & Harassment)

About the role

The Regional PSEAH Officer will support IOM’s efforts to prevent and respond to sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment across the region, working under the Senior Coordinator, PSEAH.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct PSEAH risk assessments in coordination with offices, partners and communities.
• Develop and facilitate training and capacity‑building sessions on PSEAH prevention and response.
• Manage cases of sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment or gender‑based violence, ensuring victim‑centred assistance.
• Create standard operating procedures, tools and proposals to strengthen institutional accountability.
• Coordinate with UN agencies, NGOs, governments and other stakeholders to promote PSEAH policies and best practices.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, International Relations, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field with at least five years relevant experience, or equivalent university degree with seven years experience.
• Professional experience in sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment, child protection or gender‑based violence.
• Proven coordination experience within the UN system and with inter‑agency partners.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize under pressure and maintain strict confidentiality.

Required skills

• Experience developing and delivering PSEAH training and communication materials.
• Experience undertaking risk assessments and case management.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
