UI & Design Systems Designer

About the role

nyrahealth is building digital tools for neurological rehabilitation. As the UI & Design Systems Designer you will set the visual and interaction standards for the patient therapy app myReha and the clinician platform nyra insights, ensuring consistency across iOS, Android and web.

Key responsibilities

• Own the visual quality of every screen, state and platform for myReha and nyra insights.
• Build and evolve the component library and token architecture in Figma for iOS (SwiftUI), Android (Compose) and web.
• Structure components and tokens for AI‑ready generation, validation and extension.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to maintain design‑to‑code parity.
• Embed WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility into all components from day one.
• Write clear usage documentation and contribution patterns for designers and engineers.

Required profile

• 5+ years shipping digital products on mobile and/or web with a portfolio showing pixel‑level polish.
• Exceptional UI craft with strong typographic rhythm, optical spacing and purposeful motion.
• Hands‑on, proactive mindset; able to propose solutions and ask clarifying questions early.
• Experience using AI tools daily in design work and enthusiasm for AI‑accelerated craft.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma skills (components, variables, auto‑layout, shared libraries).
• Experience with SwiftUI for iOS and Jetpack Compose for Android.
• Design‑system expertise, including token architecture and multi‑platform libraries.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude Pro.
