Software Engineer, ML Platform

About the role

As a Software Engineer on the ML Platform you will build the systems behind every nyra labs experiment and model release. You will work closely with researchers to turn recurring research bottlenecks into reliable platform capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Build reliable pipelines for ingesting, validating, transforming, versioning, and accessing large speech datasets.
• Improve distributed training infrastructure, orchestration, checkpointing, resource scheduling, and failure recovery.
• Create tooling for experiment configuration, tracking, comparison, reproducibility, and artifact management.
• Develop evaluation platforms for benchmarks, regression inspection, and model behavior analysis.
• Optimize models for efficient cloud and on‑device inference and automate model packaging, documentation, validation, and open‑source publishing.
• Establish observability, access controls, and operational practices for sensitive clinical data.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with excellent Python skills and experience building maintainable production systems.
• Experience with ML systems, PyTorch training, GPU workloads, and the full ML development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, orchestration, job scheduling, and distributed computing.
• Data‑engineering experience building reliable pipelines for large, versioned datasets.
• Operational mindset focused on observability, debuggability, failure recovery, and clear system boundaries.
