About the role
UNODC is seeking a consultant to support the systematic mainstreaming of human rights across its programmes and activities. The assignment is based in Vienna and runs from 10 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Organise briefing and training sessions on human‑rights mainstreaming and HRDDP for UNODC staff in field offices and headquarters.
- Lead the coordination and update of the UNODC Knowledge Portal on Human Rights, ensuring inter‑divisional collaboration.
- Draft internal policy documents, working papers, sections of Secretary‑General reports and periodic progress reports related to criminal justice and UNODC mandates.
- Conduct technical research and mapping of existing UN tools and resources that support human‑rights mainstreaming and the “do no harm” principle.
- Design innovative approaches to disseminate UNODC e‑learning modules on human rights and related guidance tools.
- Collect and analyse data, creating visual insights (graphs, charts, slides) to support data‑driven planning and reporting.
