Specialist, Risk & Controls Assurance

About the role

Join Bitpanda’s Group Risk Management team as a hands‑on Risk & Controls Specialist. You will deliver assurance across business, operational, product and finance processes, ensuring resilience, compliance and audit readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Execute risk‑based control testing, including walkthroughs, sampling, evidence reviews and effectiveness assessments.
• Deliver continuous control monitoring, track performance and maintain high‑quality documentation.
• Manage findings and remediation activities, including issue tracking, root‑cause analysis and retesting.
• Support risk and control assessments, control mapping and maintain accurate records in the GRC system.
• Partner with stakeholders across Business, Operations, Product, Treasury, Finance, Compliance, InfoSec and Audit while preserving 2LOD independence.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in risk, controls, assurance or audit within financial services, fintech, payments, brokerage or crypto environments.
• Proven expertise in end‑to‑end controls testing and strong understanding of control design, operating effectiveness and segregation of duties.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and results‑driven with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English; German is highly preferable.
