Senior Systems Engineer (DevOps, Cyber Security)

About the role

Esri is looking for a technical professional with strong credentials in Systems Engineering and Cyber Security to join a team solving complex problems in a DevOps environment. The role is based in Vienna and is listed as onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to design, build, configure and maintain information systems
• Support systems engineering activities in Windows and Linux environments
• Make recommendations based on customer requirements and industry best practices
• Collaborate with colleagues in a dynamic DevOps environment and take the lead on assigned projects
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Provide purchase justifications and project benefit analysis, and forecast costs for project-related equipment and software

Required profile

• 5+ years of practical, service-oriented experience in the IT field
• Active USG TS SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related STEM field
• Experience with a wide range of security tasks, including vulnerability scanning, compliance audits and IT security program management support
• Extensive experience with the USG Assessment and Authorization process

Required skills

• Knowledge of ICD 503, NIST 800-53r4/5, NIST 800-171R2, NIST Risk Management Framework, NISPOM Chapter 8 and DCSA DAAPM 2.2
• Building environments with Windows and Linux products and resolving issues across multiple operating systems
• Cyber security tools such as vSphere, Active Directory, SSSD, IIS, Windows Firewall/Firewalld, Certificate Authority, WSUS, Yum/Satellite
• Network storage familiarity, security control evaluation, automation of routine tasks, and writing proposals and procedures
• Preferred: Security certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP), technical certifications (e.g. RHEL or Microsoft), Cisco IOS/NX-OS, scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell and PowerCLI, and Esri software (ArcGIS, ArcInfo, ArcView, ArcSDE)
