Quality Assurance Engineer (All Genders)

About the role

Genetec, a global leader in video surveillance software, is hiring a Quality Assurance Engineer for its new cloud-based work management solution. The role sits inside an agile software development team and covers quality from planning through to release, with a focus on user experience and test automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, execute and maintain manual and automated tests for web and mobile applications.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory and usability testing.
• Analyze defects, identify root causes and work with developers to resolve issues.
• Investigate customer-reported issues, reproduce problems, analyze logs and application behavior.
• Proactively identify quality risks, improve testing processes and quality standards, and take part in feature planning and refinement.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance within an agile environment.
• Analytical, proactive and ownership-driven, with a process-oriented approach to QA.
• Clear communication in English with developers, product managers and other stakeholders.
• Comfortable using AI-powered tools to improve testing and automation workflows.

Required skills

• Programming experience with JavaScript or TypeScript and hands-on use of Playwright or Cypress.
• Solid knowledge of QA processes, test design techniques and test management tools.
• Familiarity with browser developer tools and basic SQL.
