Meeting & Events Intern

About the role

As a Meeting & Events Intern at Zoku Vienna you will be the first point of contact for meeting and event reservations, guiding clients from inquiry through to a flawless post‑event experience. You will work closely with the M&E Specialist and the Sales and Operations teams to optimise bookings and build strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the M&E inbox and phone calls, qualify leads, conduct site visits and guide clients from inquiry to booking.
• Manage contracts, negotiations and upselling to optimise each event for the client and Zoku.
• Coordinate with the Operations Team to ensure all event details are communicated and executed flawlessly.
• Manage post‑event feedback, invoicing and account relationships to build long‑term loyalty.
• Assist the Operations Team on the floor to deliver excellent guest service during events.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and able to maintain a positive attitude even under pressure.
• Commercial drive with a focus on upselling and creating the best deals for clients and the hotel.
• Detail‑oriented, able to multitask and keep a cool head during busy periods.
• Previous experience in communication‑ or reservation‑oriented roles such as front office, sales, call centre or events.
• Student at a hospitality university needing a mandatory internship of 6‑10 months.

Required skills

• Fluent in German (C1/C2 or native) and English; additional languages are a plus.
• EU resident or holder of a valid work and living permit for Austria.
• Availability to start in February 2026 and work five days a week.
