Kitchen Helper

About the role

The Kitchen Helper supports the Living Kitchen at Zoku Vienna by keeping the kitchen spotless, organized, and compliant with HACCP standards. You will assist chefs with basic food preparation and ensure smooth operations for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and organize all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces for each service.
• Assist chefs with food preparation, mise en place, ingredient cutting, and setup for meals and events.
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, store items according to food safety guidelines, and manage waste separation.
• Follow deep‑cleaning schedules and HACCP procedures to maintain food safety standards.
• Collaborate with front‑ and back‑of‑house teams to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Required profile

• Friendly, open, energetic and motivated.
• Proactive, hands‑on, team‑oriented and comfortable getting hands dirty.
• Willing to continuously improve and embrace an “Always Beta” mindset.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• EU resident or holder of a valid Austrian work and residence permit.
• Flexible availability to work 16‑40 hours with variable shift times.
