Manager, Public Affairs

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Regional Public Affairs, the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing foodora’s public affairs strategy and campaigns to strengthen foodora’s operating space within the broader public affairs/regulatory environment in Austria. Working collaboratively with various business functions, the candidate will enhance stakeholder relationships and position foodora as a trusted and responsible industry player.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies that advance foodora’s public affairs and policy objectives, including drafting position papers and participating in policy working groups.
• Build and manage strong relationships with external stakeholders to strengthen foodora’s positioning as a trusted partner and align internal positions.
• Lead efficient policy campaigns in collaboration with the PR team and communicate foodora’s policy positions externally.
• Monitor market dynamics and political developments, delivering regular reports and updates to internal stakeholders.
• Identify public affairs and policy risks early and work with internal teams to mitigate them before escalation.
• Seek collaboration opportunities and foster strategic partnerships that advance business and policy objectives.
• Coordinate with external agencies and colleagues in other markets to support political monitoring and strategy implementation in Austria.

Required profile

• 7 to 10 years of experience in government, public affairs agencies, platform industry public affairs roles, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of public policy and regulatory environments in Austria.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Self‑starter able to work independently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong judgment and project‑management capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate harmoniously with diverse internal teams.

What we offer

• Gross annual salary starting at €70,000 (all‑in), dependent on qualifications and experience.
