Internship – Drug Control & Crime Prevention

About the role

This unpaid, full‑time internship with the Civil Society Unit of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) supports the Global Programme GLOU68, which promotes dialogue among civil society, Member States and the private sector on anti‑corruption, drug issues and crime prevention. The position runs for four to six months starting in October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in drafting concept notes, implementation plans and reports for Programme GLOU68.
• Develop communication materials such as flyers and web stories to raise visibility of CSU activities.
• Attend events, meetings and conferences, taking detailed notes.
• Support logistical preparation for CSU events and activities.
• Conduct research on relevant topics and provide analytical input.
• Perform other tasks as required by the supervising staff member.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme, or in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Computer literate with standard software applications.
• Strong interest in United Nations work and commitment to its Charter ideals.
• Ability to interact respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
