International Consultant on Political Party Financing

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an International Consultant to support the implementation of UNCAC Resolution 11/7 on political party financing transparency. Working remotely, you will provide technical assistance, develop guidance, and produce analytical reports for selected target countries.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and deliver a Service Study report with recommendations and priority interventions.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and produce a final study report.
• Design and deliver targeted technical support packages for each assigned country.
• Prepare a final report on the technical support provided.
• Coordinate with implementing partners such as International IDEA and IFES to ensure alignment and avoid duplication.
• Collect good practices, develop implementation guidance, and facilitate peer‑exchange on political finance reforms.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in political party financing, anti‑corruption, and financial‑crime frameworks.
• Experience delivering technical assistance and drafting policy‑oriented reports for governments or international organisations.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and engage with diverse stakeholders remotely.
