Financial Crime Compliance Expert (m/f/d) – 2-year fixed term

About the role

LGT Bank Österreich, a branch of LGT Bank AG and the largest international private bank in Austria, is hiring a Financial Crime Compliance Expert for a fixed-term contract of two years. The role sits within the international compliance team focused on fighting financial crime.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the international compliance team's work on sanctions, KYC and account openings, and on monitoring transactions and customers.
• Process and evaluate alerts in the relevant IT tools.
• Act as the point of contact for LGT's due diligence, money laundering and sanctions issues in Austria.
• Help design and deliver training courses on money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions and related topics.
• Support the FCC team in local and group-wide initiatives, working groups and projects.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent, ideally in economics or law; alternatively a banking apprenticeship with relevant professional experience.
• At least three years of experience in an AML/CFT role, audit or customer service, or in an auditing or law firm with an AML/CFT focus.
• In-depth knowledge of AML, CFT and sanctions regulations.
• German and English; another foreign language, especially Eastern European, is an advantage.
• Personal responsibility, resilience and team spirit, even under pressure.

What we offer

• A fixed-term contract of two years.
• Yearly gross starting salary of at least EUR 59,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
• The employment relationship is governed by the Collective Agreement for Employees of Banks and Bankers.
