Senior SOC Analyst – Security Operations

About the role

Bitpanda is looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to protect millions of customers by detecting attacks, responding to incidents and continuously strengthening the security posture. You will combine deep technical expertise with engineering excellence to evolve security operations and embed security across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own detection engineering in Elastic Security, designing high‑fidelity detections and reducing noise.
• Lead incident response and threat hunting across AWS, Elastic and Datadog, refining playbooks and driving continuous improvement.
• Build automated investigation, enrichment and response workflows using SOAR, APIs and custom tooling.
• Improve cloud security monitoring, system hardening and support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA).
• Mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions and champion a security‑first culture.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on security engineering experience covering incident response, threat hunting, SIEM and digital forensics.
• Proven track record building and evolving security operations, not just operating them.
• Strong experience securing cloud‑native environments, especially AWS, with system hardening, network security and IAM.
• Ability to own complex technical challenges from idea through implementation.
• Excellent collaborator and communicator who enjoys mentoring and influencing technical direction.
