Head of Security Strategy

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS) as the foundation for security governance, control effectiveness and regulatory compliance.
• Translate group‑wide security direction into actionable standards, architecture guidance and capability priorities for Erste Digital.
• Establish a coherent compliance and assurance model across controls, evidence, audits, findings, maturity and management reporting.
• Develop reusable security principles, architecture patterns and guidance to help teams apply expectations consistently.
• Strengthen strategic security involvement in major technology changes and emerging topics, ensuring early understanding of material security implications.

Required profile

• Leadership experience in security strategy, ISMS, compliance, assurance or security architecture.
• Strong understanding of information security management systems, control frameworks, audit, regulatory expectations and enterprise security architecture.
• Ability to turn findings, control gaps and regulatory expectations into practical improvement initiatives.
• Credibility with technical experts, assurance functions and senior stakeholders, combined with curiosity for emerging technologies.
