Senior Embedded Crypto Software Developer

About the role

Join NXP’s Crypto & Security Competence Center to design and implement cutting‑edge cryptographic software for embedded devices. You will work on both traditional and post‑quantum algorithms, protecting products across automotive, payment, IoT and more.

Key responsibilities

• Specify and implement state‑of‑the‑art cryptographic algorithms, including post‑quantum schemes.
• Design and implement software countermeasures against side‑channel analysis and fault injection attacks.
• Collaborate with security architects, OS/firmware teams and test engineers to ensure secure integration.
• Own technical topics through design, code reviews, architectural contributions and technical planning.
• Support product certification and security evaluation activities.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc/PhD in mathematics, cryptography, computer science, EE/EE, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in cryptography and embedded security.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic primitives such as ECC, RSA, AES, SHA‑2/SHA‑3.
• Proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Embedded C and Assembly programming.
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex‑M and RISC‑V microcontroller architectures.
• Experience with hardware/software countermeasures for side‑channel and fault‑injection attacks.
• Familiarity with post‑quantum cryptography (plus) and Rust (plus).
• Strong debugging and analysis capabilities.
