Network Specialist - Industrial OT Networks (all gender)

About the role

You will support the design and implementation of industrial OT network solutions, develop and validate redundant network architectures based on HSR and PRP, and contribute to OT security concepts such as segmentation and firewall architectures. The role also involves network simulation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance testing in critical infrastructure environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of industrial OT network solutions.
• Develop and validate redundant network architectures based on HSR and PRP.
• Perform network simulation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and performance testing.
• Contribute to OT security concepts, including segmentation and firewall architectures.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering teams and technology partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Document network concepts, test results and technical recommendations.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with industrial or OT networks.
• Familiarity with HSR, PRP (IEC 62439‑3) and IEC 61850.
• Experience with industrial networking equipment and OT security concepts (IEC 62443).
• Proficiency with network analysis and simulation tools such as Wireshark, GNS3 or EVE‑NG.
• Knowledge of OPC UA or Modbus TCP (advantage).
• Experience in critical infrastructure, energy or industrial automation environments (advantage).
• Excellent English skills; German is a plus.
