Junior Communications Manager (Austria)

About the role

Huawei is looking for a motivated (Junior) Communications Manager to support its communications and stakeholder engagement activities in Austria. The role offers hands-on experience in public relations, project management and corporate social responsibility, with the option of developing into public affairs tasks, within an international team.

Key responsibilities

• Support press releases, media communications, journalist relations and corporate messaging
• Support communication and collaboration with industry associations, political stakeholders and external partners
• Help organise corporate events and CSR initiatives on education, digital inclusion and sustainability
• Prepare presentations, reports and communication materials, and support project planning, budgets and external partners
• Create content for Huawei Austria's social media channels, especially LinkedIn
• Monitor political and industry developments in Austria, particularly ICT and renewable energy, and develop knowledge of legislation and regulation

Required profile

• University degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in communications, public relations, journalism and/or public affairs
• Interest in Austria's political, business and technology environment
• Excellent German and fluent English, written and spoken
• Eligible to work and live in Vienna; applications without a CV cannot be considered

Required skills

• Strong writing and communication skills, with a creative approach to content creation
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
• Proactive, creative and team-oriented, willing to learn
• Good MS Office skills and willingness to travel when required
