IT Strategy & Governance Consultant

About the role

Join the CIO team of Erste Bank Oesterreich to shape the IT strategy at the intersection of technology, strategy and governance. You will support the development and implementation of the bank’s IT agenda and work closely with Business, IT, Erste Digital and Group functions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of the EBOe IT strategy and strategic CIO initiatives.
• Analyse technology trends and translate them into business, IT landscape and governance implications.
• Contribute to IT governance, portfolio and investment management, including regulatory topics.
• Prepare decision papers, management presentations and structured analyses for senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate on strategic technology topics such as architecture, cloud, data and AI.
• Facilitate workshops and cross‑functional initiatives with Business and IT stakeholders.
• Improve governance processes, transparency and decision‑making across the CIO organisation.

Required profile

• University degree or comparable experience with 3‑5 years in IT strategy, technology consulting, IT management or governance.
• Good understanding of modern technology and IT organisations; exposure to architecture, cloud, software engineering, data or AI is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to structure complex topics clearly.
• Confident communication and collaboration with senior management and diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Banking or financial‑services experience is welcome but not mandatory.
