Individual Contractor – System Development for Network Detection

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks two Individual Contractors to develop a computer system that automates detection and visualisation of networks in operational analysis using internal databases. Working under the project coordinator, you will design, implement and document key system modules.

Key responsibilities

• Design the integrated architecture for the SISO V2 and NEMESIS systems, ensuring scalability and seamless integration.
• Develop and implement a security and user‑management module with role‑based access control, authentication, and audit‑trail capabilities.
• Create a foreign‑currency management module with centralized registration, search, automatic updates and basic reporting.
• Build ROS, PCC, PEP and ROG management modules for registration and validation of suspicious transaction reports.
• Design internal and external reports, automate compliance validation services, and generate alerts.
• Produce technical documentation, conduct interoperability testing and validate functional performance.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in software development and system integration.
• Ability to work independently under supervision and deliver documented deliverables within the specified timeframe.
• Strong analytical skills to design architecture and validate data consistency.
