Information Systems Officer – Power Platform (Temporary)

About the role

The United Nations Office at Vienna is seeking a temporary Information Systems Officer to lead the design, development, and rollout of a new asset‑tracking and inventory system. The role is based in Vienna and reports to the Programme Management Officer within the Business and Administrative Solutions Team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the UNOV/UNODC asset‑tracking system using the Power Platform development stack.
• Develop detailed project plans, coordinate deployment activities, and ensure milestones are met.
• Provide technical guidance to developers and oversee the architecture of Power Platform environments.
• Configure and maintain system environments, establish deployment processes, and implement controls for secure operation.
• Create reusable components in Power Platform Component Libraries to accelerate development.
• Facilitate communication between ITS and project stakeholders, maintaining governance processes.
• Identify issues, propose corrective actions, and liaise with technical staff on Office 365, SAP, and Umoja integrations.
• Collect and analyse data, producing visual reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Professional knowledge of information‑technology project management and system development.
• Experience in designing, developing, and managing large‑scale Power Platform solutions.
• Ability to coordinate technical teams and interact with international stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills for data collection, trend analysis, and reporting.
