About the role
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking a Communications Intern to support the Corruption and Financial Crime Branch in Vienna. This six‑month, full‑time, unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience in international anti‑corruption communication initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyse information on assigned topics, assessing news value and impact.
- Draft web stories and social‑media posts for UNODC platforms.
- Assist in implementing communication campaigns for the Branch.
- Develop graphics for social media and the website.
- Create monthly social‑media performance reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising staff.
Required profile
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
- Interest in anti‑corruption, organized crime, and international policy.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Required skills
- Basic graphic‑design abilities for digital content.
- Familiarity with social‑media platforms and content creation.
- Research and analytical skills.
