Business Developer – Technical Gas Solutions

About the role

Air Liquide Austria is looking for a Business Developer to drive growth in a specialised technical gas segment. Working closely with national sales teams, you will leverage advanced knowledge of gas applications and customer processes to differentiate our offering in the market.

Key responsibilities

• Increase pipeline quantity and quality by generating, qualifying, and managing leads in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Develop new business opportunities in close collaboration with sales teams up to the closing stage and prepare technical‑commercial proposals.
• Provide application consulting, conduct customer visits, perform needs analyses and define specifications.
• Lead the introduction of new offers, adapt them to local conditions, build business cases and monitor KPIs.
• Design offers, calculate costs and set pricing together with product management, legal and QHSE.
• Create marketing action plans, run campaigns, support trade shows/events and build strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business Administration or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development within the technical gas industry.
• Expertise in Food & Pharma applications (cryogenics, gas‑injection‑to‑liquid) and understanding of environmental regulations.
• Strong problem‑solving, negotiation and customer‑orientation skills.
• Willingness to travel and requirement for a company car.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) and other CRM systems.
• Experience using Google tools and PowerBI for data analysis.
• Good command of English and the local language; additional languages (Slovak, Czech, Hungarian) are a plus.
