Azure Cloud Engineer (m/w/x)

About the role

Avanade, a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture, is hiring an Azure Cloud Engineer in Innsbruck. You will design, implement and operate modern cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, working hands-on with cloud platforms and services alongside architects, developers and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and operate Azure cloud solutions, including compute, networking, storage and platform services
• Support the setup and evolution of Azure landing zones and cloud foundations
• Provision and configure Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, ARM)
• Support application deployments and integrations across Azure services such as App Services, Functions and AKS
• Build CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
• Support cloud security and identity concepts such as Entra ID / Azure AD and role-based access
• Troubleshoot issues across development, test and production environments
• Work with solution architects, contribute to documentation and technical guidelines, and use AI-assisted coding tools

Required profile

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure in engineering or operations roles
• Good understanding of cloud concepts, virtual networking, identity and security
• Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory
• Nice to have: container technologies (Docker, AKS, Red Hat OpenShift), basic knowledge of application or data architectures, exposure to security, governance or compliance, and experience with Data, AI or automation services on Azure
