AI Software Engineer Fullstack (m/w/x)

About the role

Avanade, a joint venture between Microsoft and Accenture, is hiring an AI Software Engineer (Fullstack, Frontend, Backend) in Vienna. You will design, develop and integrate AI-enabled and generative AI-powered solutions into modern applications, working hands-on across the full stack. Depending on experience, you may lead small teams, mentor colleagues and take part in solution design.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure full-stack applications
• Integrate generative AI capabilities into applications and development workflows
• Design, develop and deploy generative AI agents to support automation and better user interaction
• Implement AI-driven features using modern frameworks, APIs and services
• Collaborate with designers, product owners and developers to deliver high-quality software
• Take part in the whole software lifecycle, from requirements analysis to production deployment and support
• Write clean, well-tested code and troubleshoot technical issues

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of professional experience in software or full-stack development
• Hands-on experience with AI and generative AI tools in application development
• Proven experience designing and deploying generative AI agents or AI-powered features
• Fluency in German and English is mandatory

Required skills

• Front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js
• Backend/API development with Python.NET Core or Node.js
• SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. SQL Server, Cosmos DB)
• Containers and container orchestration, Azure or other cloud platforms
• REST APIs, microservices and DevOps practices
• Nice to have: experience leading or mentoring teams, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native architectures, and a consulting or customer-facing project delivery background
