AI and Digitalization Operations Manager

About the role

AGRANA is looking for an AI and Digitalization Operations Manager to lead the industrialisation of AI across its manufacturing sites. You will identify high‑value AI use cases, pilot them, and scale successful solutions to improve efficiency, quality, energy use, reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and structure AI use cases in manufacturing based on business impact and feasibility.
• Lead AI pilot projects from scoping to implementation, defining KPIs, tracking ROI and ensuring operational relevance.
• Drive the transition from pilot to scalable solutions across multiple production sites.
• Act as the interface between Operations and the AI Center of Excellence, translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Collaborate with plant managers, engineers, operational teams and AI experts to ensure adoption and integration.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Process Technology, Data Science or related field.
• 7–12 years of experience in manufacturing, process industry or operational excellence.
• Proven experience in digitalisation, data analytics or AI‑driven initiatives.
• Strong understanding of industrial processes (production, maintenance, quality, energy management).
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; fluency in English (German preferred).

Required skills

• Experience leading cross‑functional projects involving Operations and IT/OT.
• Experience scaling solutions across multiple sites.
