Programme Management Officer

About the role

The Programme Management Officer will support the UN80 Travel Processing Consolidation Project within the Department of Operational Support. Reporting to the Senior Programme Management Officer, the incumbent will contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of travel consolidation initiatives across the UN Secretariat.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project development, analyse travel data, identify issues and propose corrective actions.
• Facilitate workshops, develop action plans and provide consulting support to client teams.
• Research and present information from sources such as Umoja travel data, vendors and technology partners.
• Design and analyse surveys, create data‑visualisation outputs and prepare progress reports for management and member states.
• Coordinate budget and funding activities, including programme preparation, financial statements and performance reporting.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business administration, management, economics or related field; or Bachelor’s degree with at least two additional years of relevant experience.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in project or programme management, including at least two years in travel‑related service delivery and consolidation.
• Fluent in English (UN Level II); French is an asset.
