International Consultant – Graphic Designer (Sint Maarten)

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is seeking an International Consultant to provide graphic design expertise for a project in Sint Maarten. Working under the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Section and in close collaboration with national counterparts and the UNODC Regional Office for Central America and the Caribbean, the consultant will develop visual tools that support operational training and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a detailed work plan, coordinate inception meetings, and provide regular progress updates.
• Develop a concise visual style guide and a reusable design system for flashcards and reports, including grids, typography, colour palette, icons and usage rules.
• Create editable master templates for flashcards and reports to enable efficient production and future updates.
• Design and produce a prototype package of at least ten sample flashcards and report pages for client review.
• Design 20 complete flashcard sets (approximately 400 flashcards) covering various Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring clear visual sequencing, professional icons, and diagrams.
• Deliver final assets in both print‑ready PDF and high‑resolution image formats, together with editable source files.

Required profile

• Proven experience in graphic design, preferably in an international or institutional setting.
• Ability to translate complex procedural content into clear, visual formats.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to work independently while maintaining responsive communication with UNODC teams.
