Design Engineer – Plastic Components

About the role

As an expert in plastic components you will independently develop concept and detailed designs for plastic parts and components. You will work closely with Product Management and Industrial Design and take responsibility for technical coordination with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Design plastic components and injection‑molded parts with a strong focus on manufacturability.
• Collaborate closely with Industrial Design and translate design requirements into technically feasible solutions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assessments.
• Handle technical clarification and coordination with suppliers.

Required profile

• Experience selecting suitable plastic materials and a solid understanding of their properties.
• Experience with manufacturing processes for plastic components, especially injection molding and structural foam molding.
• Experience with CAD design; SolidWorks and/or Creo are a plus.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and small‑batch production of plastic components.
