Local Individual Contractor – Development of Integrated Asset Information System

About the role

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) seeks a Local Individual Contractor to design, develop, and deploy the Integrated Asset Information System. Working remotely from La Paz, Bolivia, you will support the creation of interoperability, reporting, and statistics modules under the supervision of the project coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse functional and technical requirements with user departments.
• Design module architecture for interoperability, reporting and statistics, including data flows and integration points.
• Identify, standardise and document data sources, structures and exchange protocols (web services, APIs, data formats).
• Develop and implement web services to enable automated information exchange.
• Implement security mechanisms such as authentication, authorization, encryption and access control.
• Integrate modules with the SIIB database ensuring data consistency and availability.
• Create dynamic, customizable reports and export capabilities.
• Design and implement statistical data processes and dashboards with key indicators.
• Conduct functional, integration, performance and security testing, and prepare technical documentation and user training materials.

Required profile

• High school diploma (mandatory).
• First degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work under supervision of a project coordinator.
