IT Support Engineer – Level 1 Desktop Support

About the role

We are seeking a Level 1 Desktop Support Engineer to join our on‑site team in Neukirchen an der Enknach. The role focuses on delivering first‑line technical assistance for hardware, software and network issues across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 desktop support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Outlook and standard business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems on desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Perform basic Active Directory tasks, password resets and user account management.
• Configure email accounts, assist with VPN connectivity and manage peripheral devices.
• Log, track and update incidents in the ticketing system, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2/Level 3 teams when necessary.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and follow documented procedures.

Required skills

• Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
• Active Directory user and password management.
• Basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Hardware installation and maintenance for desktops, laptops, printers and scanners.
• Ticketing system usage for incident management.
