Technical & Pre-Sales Expert for VMS Energy Solutions (Vienna)

About the role

A1 Digital International, a provider of IoT, cloud and security services for medium-sized businesses, is looking for a hybrid Technical & Pre-Sales Expert for its VMS Energy Solutions business in Austria. The role sits in Vienna and covers the whole customer journey, from complex calculations and business cases to account management.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex systems into clear business outcomes in Energy and Environmental Management (IoT knowledge preferred)
• Simplify complexity for customers and act as a consultative, trusted advisor
• Handle complex calculations, business cases and offers/concepts
• Work with AT customers alongside the A1 Seller throughout the entire customer lifecycle
• Manage accounts and map stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting or business development in the energy, sustainability or IoT sectors
• German and English

Required skills

• Energy or environmental engineering background
• Facility energy management and ESG knowledge, including Austrian regulations
• Strategic client planning, solution and value-based selling (ROI, TCO, business cases)
• RFP/RFQ support and tender management
