Senior Quality Manager – Aviation

About the role

As a Senior Quality Manager for Aviation, you will lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system (QMS) for Bosch General Aviation Technology. You will work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure product and process quality meets both Bosch and aviation-specific standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the QMS, adapting processes, procedural instructions and checklists to internal and aviation requirements.
• Record, evaluate and document product and process quality data (e.g., 8D reports) and provide management reports with improvement suggestions.
• Support project‑level quality activities, including risk‑management coaching and initial sample inspections.
• Prepare and moderate management evaluations and conduct internal and external audits.
• Create and coordinate quality‑assurance contracts with customers and suppliers.
• Support external audits by customers or authorities at Bosch and supplier sites.
• Manage product change processes and act as the QM representative with release and escalation rights.
• Coach internal and external stakeholders on quality topics such as counterfeit parts, storage, and access rights.
• Engage in supplier quality activities, including release, evaluation and development.
• Handle customer complaints and support escalations.

Required profile

• Strategic thinker with a holistic approach and strong relationship‑building skills.
• Experience in stakeholder management and quality audits, preferably in aviation, automotive or a similar high‑tech environment.
• Certified auditor according to EN 9100 or ISO 9001.
• Degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a comparable technical field.
• Fluent in German and English.
