Senior Internal Auditor – DACH & Regulatory Assurance

About the role

In this role you will design and execute internal audits across core operational, financial and regulatory processes, working closely with business leaders to strengthen the control environment and provide early audit insights for safe product launches.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support end‑to‑end internal audits across group entities in the DACH region.
• Test the design and operational effectiveness of key internal controls, including AML, sanctions and regulatory processes.
• Partner with 1st and 2nd lines of defense (Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product) to address audit findings and track remediation plans.
• Provide pre‑implementation audit feedback during product development to embed regulatory and security considerations.
• Support the Group Internal Audit Manager in refining audit methodologies, developing risk‑based audit plans and leveraging data analytics to streamline testing.

Required profile

• 3+ years audit experience in Big 4, banking, fintech or financial services.
• Practical understanding of key EU/DACH regulations such as AML/CTF, MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2 or GDPR.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law or related field.
• Professional proficiency in German and English.
