Process Expert – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Process Expert to join its Drug Substance team in Schaftenau, Austria. The role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient and compliant manufacturing of high‑quality pharmaceutical products.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment qualification and cleanroom‑related activities.
• Manage local service providers for cleaning and gowning.
• Handle deviations, implement corrective actions and manage change requests.
• Create and maintain lifecycle GMP documentation to ensure inspection readiness.
• Represent Novartis as a Subject Matter Expert during Health Authority inspections.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or a comparable field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse teams.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and native German speaker.
• Team player with a proactive, self‑directed work approach.
