The role sits within the Mechanical Engineering team and works closely with product management, clinical, quality, manufacturing, sourcing and service stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and subsystems for next-generation ultrasound products
  • Align requirements, interfaces and design decisions with stakeholders across functions and locations
  • Support mechanical concepts for system architecture, component design, enclosures, structural elements, thermal management and serviceability
  • Own packaging design, including component integration, space optimization, manufacturability and transport robustness
  • Create and maintain drawings, specifications, tolerance analysis, design documentation and technical reports
  • Plan and run verification and validation, including test definition, execution, issue resolution and documentation
  • Assess design risks, support design reviews, failure investigations and corrective actions
  • Work with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are producible, scalable and cost-effective
  • Provide end-to-end technical ownership from early design through product release, ramp-up, installation, service and field support
  • Communicate technical status, risks, decisions and recommendations to project teams and leadership

Required profile

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a related discipline
  • Proven experience managing mechanical product design across the full product lifecycle
  • Experience designing mechanical components and kinematic assemblies (structural, die-cast, sheet metal, plastic, welded and riveted parts)
  • Prototype development, feasibility assessments and design validation experience
  • Understanding of customer requirements analysis and translation into technical specifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills, written and verbal English; German is an advantage

Required skills

  • Extensive experience in 3D CAD design; Creo Parametric experience preferred
  • Ability to work across disciplines and influence decisions

What we offer

  • Annual compensation starting at EUR 64,000, discussed individually
  • Interdisciplinary team and international work environment
