Mechanical Design Engineer – International Assignment

About the role

Are you passionate about developing innovative measuring instruments and interested in bringing your expertise to an international environment? At our headquarters in Graz you will create sophisticated mechanical solutions from initial concept to series production, with the possibility to work at one of our international locations in the future.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative concepts to solve complex metrological challenges.
• Design and develop individual parts, assemblies and complete measuring instruments.
• Perform analytical and simulation‑based design of components and assemblies.
• Create production‑ready drawings and maintain master data.
• Coordinate closely with manufacturing, purchasing, assembly, service and product management.
• Assemble, verify and optimise prototypes to ensure optimal functionality.
• Support the transition from prototypes to series production and provide technical support for serial solutions.

Required profile

• Higher technical education in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• In‑depth knowledge of materials science, design and manufacturing technologies.
• Experience in design for manufacturing (turning, milling, sheet‑metal processing) and basic understanding of mechatronics.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as Creo or similar systems.
• Enthusiasm for metrology and sensor technology.
• Willingness to spend several years abroad after onboarding at headquarters.
• Excellent German and English communication skills.
