Junior Cyber Incident Response Investigator

About the role

Accenture is looking for a Junior Cyber Incident Response Investigator to support organisations worldwide in managing and resolving severe cyber incidents. In this entry‑level position you will work alongside experienced security professionals, applying forensic and incident‑response techniques to restore trust in critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support cyber incident response activities by analysing alerts, logs and endpoint data using EDR and SIEM solutions.
• Assist with host, network and log forensics as well as basic static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Participate in threat‑hunting missions and help identify attacker tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs).
• Contribute to the creation and validation of indicators of compromise (IOCs) and support remediation actions.
• Help prepare and execute incident‑readiness exercises such as simulations and tabletop drills.
• Collaborate with senior team members on client engagements, including occasional on‑site work and travel as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Practical exposure through university projects, internships, working‑student roles or an entry‑level position in cyber defence or security operations.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with EDR solutions and SIEM platforms.
• Ability to analyse alerts, logs and endpoint data.
• Basic host, network and log forensics.
• Fundamental static and dynamic malware analysis.
• Knowledge of threat‑hunting techniques and attacker TTPs.
