Head of Group Accounting (f/m/x)

About the role

As Head of Group Accounting you will lead the Group Accounting team, providing both functional and disciplinary leadership. You will ensure reliable group‑wide financial reporting, high‑quality data, and efficient closing processes across international subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Group Accounting team, fostering continuous improvement.
• Support and advise international subsidiaries on accounting and reporting matters.
• Manage monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring data quality and compliance with group standards.
• Contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, KPI development, and variance analysis for management decision‑making.
• Drive optimisation, digitalisation, and standardisation of accounting and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Higher‑level commercial education (e.g., university degree) or comparable qualification in accounting, finance or related field.
• Several years of experience in accounting, group accounting or corporate controlling, preferably in an international company.
• Leadership experience with a strong interest in employee development.
• Sound knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and monthly/annual financial statements.

Required skills

• Very good Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO (advantage).
