Global Development Specialist – Major Donors

About the role

Impact Hub is seeking a Global Development Specialist to lead fundraising efforts with major public and private donors. The role focuses on designing and delivering a fundraising strategy that secures large‑scale grants across Europe, Africa and the Americas, supporting Impact Hub’s Ambition 2030 roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a donor‑focused fundraising strategy targeting grant‑giving trusts, international development agencies and multilateral institutions.
• Translate program ideas into fundable proposals in collaboration with Impact Hub Makers and external partners.
• Maintain regular contact with Impact Hub Makers to align programme design with local needs and donor requirements.
• Support the Global Development Director in drafting proposals, presentations, and negotiating contracts.
• Continuously improve fundraising processes, systems and administrative procedures.
• Coordinate with communications to produce fundraising materials and ensure impact measurement standards are applied.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience raising funds from private or public donors, with successful proposals of €1 million +.
• Strong background in the international social‑enterprise or social‑innovation sector.
• Fluent in English and another major language (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic).
• Proven ability to build and maintain donor relationships and generate new leads.
• Self‑directed, collaborative, and comfortable working in a distributed, multidisciplinary team.
