Freelance Product UX/UI Designer (15-20 hrs/week)

About the role

waterdrop® is looking for a freelance Product UX/UI Designer to shape digital experiences for its hydration ecosystem. Working 15‑20 hours per week, you will create intuitive, on‑brand flows for storefronts, subscriptions, and account management, either from our Vienna office, hybrid, or fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end transactional flows, including subscription builders, management tools, and user account experiences.
• Maintain consistency by working within the existing Design Language System and extending components when needed.
• Conduct discovery and user research to inform design direction and validate concepts with real users before launch.
• Collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams, using metrics to guide decisions and measure impact.
• Provide rapid design support for product launches and time‑sensitive campaigns, overseeing quality from sketch to handoff.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing complex, transactional flows such as subscriptions and account management.
• Strong understanding of e‑commerce or D2C environments and what drives repeat purchases.
• Data‑savvy mindset, comfortable interpreting business metrics to justify design choices.
• Self‑directed, detail‑oriented, and able to take full ownership of projects.

Required skills

• Figma (expertise with auto‑layout and design systems)
• CSS (working familiarity to ensure designs are buildable)
