ESG & Compliance Specialist – Legal

About the role

As an ESG & Compliance Specialist in the Consumer Health & Product Compliance team, you will ensure that all communications about waterdrop®'s environmental impact are accurate, evidence‑based and legally compliant across markets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support for e‑commerce topics, social media law, and standard contracts such as NDAs and supplier agreements.
• Implement the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and maintain EPR registrations across markets.
• Manage food‑contact compliance for bottles, Smart Caps and LUCY® filters, handling supplier declarations and test reports.
• Review environmental claims under the Empowering Consumers Directive, support sustainability reporting, B Corp initiatives and monitor ESG regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Completed law degree (e.g., Mag. iur., LL.M.).
• 2–4 years of experience in a legal or compliance role, preferably in FMCG, food, packaging or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and understanding of e‑commerce, consumer protection and social media law.
• Structured, pragmatic and solution‑oriented working style; fluent English, German is a strong advantage.
