Director, Privacy (Data Protection Officer)

About the role

Tricentis is looking for a senior leader to head its global privacy program and act as the Data Protection Officer. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will translate complex privacy obligations into practical governance, controls and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the global privacy program, designing frameworks, processes and controls that meet GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, AI regulations and other jurisdictional requirements.
• Serve as the DPO for Europe, handling regulatory engagement, cross‑border data‑transfer compliance and privacy risk oversight.
• Partner with Legal, Security, Product, Engineering, GRC and the CIO organization to embed privacy into product development, commercial contracts and AI governance.
• Support ISO/IEC 27701 certification activities, audit remediation and continuous improvement of privacy controls.

Required profile

• 10+ years in privacy, data protection or compliance, with at least 5 years in‑house at a global software company.
• Qualified to practice law in an EU member state and hold an IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM).
• Proven experience serving as a Data Protection Officer or equivalent role.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of GDPR, e‑Privacy, CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA, PDPA and emerging AI privacy regulations.
• Experience with privacy management platforms such as OneTrust.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional teams.
