Digital Lending Business Analyst – Technology Consulting

About the role

PwC Austria is seeking an experienced Digital Lending Business Analyst to join its Technology Consulting practice. You will act as the functional‑domain backbone for SME lending origination projects, translating regulatory and business requirements into concrete IT designs.

Key responsibilities

• Own the SME origination domain across application intake, KYC/onboarding, credit assessment, underwriting, decisioning, offer, disbursement and monitoring.
• Interpret regulatory changes (e.g., EBA Loan Origination & Monitoring guidelines) and convert them into testable requirements, controls and target‑state processes.
• Co‑author reusable assets such as capability reference models, vendor‑selection frameworks, integration reference architectures and migration playbooks.
• Lead fit‑gap analyses and platform assessments against the capability reference model.
• Support pre‑sales activities by contributing domain expertise to pitches, proposals and client workshops.
• Gather, analyse and document functional and technical requirements for lending products and processes.
• Produce Business Requirement Documents, User Stories and Use Cases.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment between technical implementation and business goals.
• Support functional testing, coordinate User Acceptance Testing and monitor project progress.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in digital lending transformation projects at major European banks or financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of SME lending origination processes and related regulations.
• Proven ability to bridge business needs with IT solutions and to produce clear, structured documentation.
• Experience supporting client‑facing pre‑sales activities.
• Senior‑level professional comfortable working in a delivery‑led consulting environment.
