Data Engineer – Data & AI

About the role

Red Bull is looking for a Data Engineer to join its IT team and help turn complex enterprise data into trusted, actionable insights. The role bridges business, data science and IT by designing and operating data products, integration services and platforms used by business analysts, data scientists and AI engineers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts and architects to design data solutions and implement, test and support modern data pipelines
• Build dynamic ELT pipelines with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, DBT and Dagster, following enterprise architecture standards
• Apply AI responsibly alongside AI engineers, preparing the data foundations (features, embeddings, metadata, evaluation datasets) for AI-powered analytics
• Work with Data Science teams, Data Cloud Architects and business stakeholders to strengthen governance frameworks and data quality
• Partner with DevOps, MLOps and Analytics Engineers to improve data availability, reliability and accuracy
• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and drive process improvement with clear documentation and presentations

Required profile

• University degree in IT or business administration, with a focus on computer science, data science or data engineering
• At least three years of experience with analytics tools
• Fluent English; German is beneficial
• Enterprise mindset, able to align data solutions with business strategy, governance, security and compliance

Required skills

• Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Dagster, DBT
• SQL and Python
• Understanding of databases and ETL/ELT pipelines
• Knowledge of SAP (BW, HANA, SAC) and analytics front-end tools is beneficial
• Familiarity with data science and data lake platforms on Azure or AWS, and experience with AI coding assistants is beneficial

The stated minimum salary under the collective agreement is EUR 2,362 gross per month; the actual pay is market-oriented and higher.
