About the role
As a Cyber Security Consultant – Identity and Access Management in Infineon's Corporate team, you will help build the frameworks, relationships and processes that keep the business thriving. You will act as the go‑to expert for IAM, shaping secure solutions and influencing architectural decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a trusted subject‑matter expert for Identity & Access Management, advising architecture, engineering and operational teams on secure design, implementation and operation of identity services.
- Define and establish IAM‑related security controls that reflect current threats, emerging technologies and Zero‑Trust models.
- Advise on and establish consistent IAM standards, patterns and best practices across departments, covering authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle management and privileged access.
- Lead and facilitate risk assessments, threat modelling and secure design reviews for business‑critical systems, platforms and services (e.g., cloud, manufacturing, R&D platforms).
- Partner with enterprise and domain architects and service owners to translate IAM security controls into functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Influence and challenge architectural and design decisions by balancing risks, business value, operational resilience and engineering feasibility.
Required profile
- Proactive, solutions‑driven professional with strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in an international environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Security or a related field.
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
Required skills
- Deep expertise in Identity & Access Management (IAM) – authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, privileged access, federation concepts.
- Experience with IAM platforms such as Microsoft Active Directory / Entra ID.
- Strong knowledge of identity‑related security controls for cloud, on‑premises and hybrid environments.
- Advanced IAM architecture and system design – modern access control models, session management, API access security, service‑to‑service identity.
- Experience performing cybersecurity risk assessments and threat modelling (e.g., STRIDE).
- Understanding of security principles – least privilege, Zero‑Trust, defense in depth, trust boundaries, cryptographic concepts (token signing, certificate‑based authentication, key management).
- Experience aligning IAM controls with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 29146) and audit requirements.
- Knowledge of IAM for cloud‑native platforms – token‑based authentication, just‑in‑time access, workload identity, federation protocols.
