Computer Vision Engineer – Data Capture

About the role

Snap Inc. is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer focused on data capture to help build the next generation of wearable computing devices. Based in Vienna, you will work closely with hardware and software teams worldwide to bring advanced AR experiences to life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and integrate new components into a data‑driven pipeline.
• Develop next‑generation computer‑vision capabilities such as eye tracking and gaze detection for wearable devices.
• Collaborate with engineering and machine‑learning teams across the full product lifecycle of AR applications.
• Contribute to continuous‑integration infrastructure, automated testing, code reviews and quality analysis.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Computer Graphics or related field with at least 2 years industry experience.
• 3 + years software development experience using modern C++ or Python.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously while being a team player.

Required skills

• Modern C++ and Python programming.
• Solid knowledge of 3D geometry, trigonometry and linear algebra.
• Geometric computer‑vision and graphics expertise (e.g., calibration, eye tracking, 3D mapping).
• Experience with 3D game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS).
