Chief Accountant

About the role

Red Bull’s Austrian operation is looking for a Chief Accountant to guarantee full compliance with local legislation, deliver accurate financial statements and lead the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure 100 % compliance with statutory accounting standards, tax law and internal group guidelines.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing, including depreciation runs, accruals, revaluations and statutory financial statements.
• Manage fixed‑asset register, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and tax account reporting.
• Coordinate with the Finance Manager and external auditors to achieve clean audit opinions.
• Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and integrate systems and controls.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the accounting team, set objectives and ensure proper documentation of key processes.

Required profile

• Certified Management Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar organization.
• Strong knowledge of local tax regulations, local GAAP and IFRS.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Proven leadership and people‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (including SAP HANA).
• Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
