Accountant (m/f/d)

About the role

SWARCO ITS, which develops intelligent transportation systems, is looking for an Accountant (m/f/d) in Wattens. The role prepares the monthly and annual financial statements of SWARCO ITS SERVICES GMBH according to Austrian GAAP (UGB) and supports the group's accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the monthly and annual financial statements of SWARCO ITS SERVICES GMBH in line with Austrian GAAP (UGB)
• Contribute to implementing centralized holding accounting functions
• Coordinate and execute intercompany transactions and group cost allocations
• Coordinate and prepare the company's budget and forecasts
• Support day-to-day accounting and act as contact person for accounting and financial reporting matters
• Act as contact person for group subsidiaries on their monthly and annual statements
• Provide support and expertise on Austrian accounting and tax issues
• Take part in and lead internal transformation and change projects

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration (university or university of applied sciences) or commercial education (e.g. HAK/HBLA), ideally with a certified accountant qualification
• Solid several years of experience in accounting or controlling, ideally including investment valuation and IFRS knowledge
• Extensive experience with accounting systems; SAP FI is an advantage
• Experience with intercompany accounting and charge allocations is beneficial
• Excellent written and spoken German and good English
• Team player who enjoys international teams and process improvement, with a hands-on, independent and solution-oriented approach
