Technical & Pre-Sales Expert for VMS Energy Solutions (Vienna)

About the role

A1 Digital International, a provider of IoT, cloud and security services for medium-sized businesses, is looking for a hybrid Technical & Pre-Sales Expert for its VMS Energy Solutions business in Austria. The role sits in Vienna and covers the whole customer journey, from handling complex calculations and business cases to supporting AT customers together with the A1 Seller.

Key responsibilities

• Translate complex systems into clear business outcomes in Energy and Environmental Management (IoT knowledge preferred)
• Simplify complexity for customers and act as a consultative, trusted advisor
• Handle complex calculations, business cases and offers/concepts
• Work with AT customers throughout their lifecycle alongside the A1 Seller
• Support strategic client planning, solution selling and account management
• Support RFP/RFQ processes and tender management

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
• 5+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution consulting or business development in the energy, sustainability or IoT sectors
• German and English
• Resilience and comfort working with multiple stakeholders

Required skills

• Energy or environmental engineering background
• Knowledge of facility energy management and of ESG and Austrian regulations
• Value-based selling (ROI, TCO, business case creation) and solution selling
• Account management, stakeholder mapping and building long-term customer relationships
• RFP/RFQ support and tender management
